For the past 3 years Charlie has ran the Craft Café in Govan, a community arts group for older people tackling isolation and ageism, created and funded by Impact Arts. Previous work has been between the arts, education and social care. She also had a stint working in the art department for film, making props and helping to make sets, and then working with film distribution companies, Tartan films and Metrodome.
Charlie’s education is in the arts, with a Bachelors in Fine Art and Masters in Photography at Glasgow School of Art. She also continues to have her own art practise, working mainly in photography and creating images that relate to environmental concerns.
